Willydilly Pendant Lamp
Ingo Maurer spent his career treating light as a medium for poetry. The Willydilly pendant is one of his more quietly playful expressions: a shade cut and folded from translucent white cardboard, assembled by hand into a form that shifts with each configuration. No two installations need look identical.
The shade attaches to its supply line with a simple clear clamp, keeping the composition as unencumbered as possible. What remains is the silhouette - organic, paper-thin, and faintly luminous when lit. The material carries its own delicacy; cardboard, chosen deliberately, rewards a close eye with subtle texture and a warm diffusion of light.
- Shade in white translucent cardboard, hand-assembled by the owner
- Form is variable and reconfigurable after installation
- Clear clamp attachment to the supply line
- Designed by Ingo Maurer
