Calvino Table Lamp

Calvino Table Lamp

The Calvino is a study in duality. On one face, a circular mirror catches and redirects whatever the eye finds worth holding. On the other, a concealed light source washes the surrounding space in quiet, diffused illumination. The two planes coexist without hierarchy, each meaningful on its own terms.

Davide Groppi founded his Piacenza-based studio on a single conviction: that light should be felt before it is seen. The Calvino distills that philosophy into its most economical form, prioritizing thinness and apparent weightlessness above all else.

  • Pivoting circular mirror, positionable by hand
  • Indirect illumination on the reverse face
  • Exceptionally slender profile
  • Designed and made in Italy
