The Wardrope begins with a material borrowed from the mountains: polyamide rope rated for climbing loads, repurposed here as the structural spine of a ceiling-mounted coat rack. Designers Susanne Stofer and Veronica Wildgruber treat the rope not as ornament but as a working element, suspending Y-shaped steel hooks that hang freely when empty and lock firmly into position the moment weight is applied.
The logic is satisfying in its simplicity. Without a coat or bag, the hooks pivot and drift, reading as sculpture. Load them, and the geometry snaps into order. The rack mounts securely to the ceiling via an included hook and holds up to 30 pounds, making it as capable as it is considered.
