Kwic Floor Lamp
The Kwic Floor Lamp is a study in deliberate asymmetry. Designed by Belgian brothers Serge and Robert Cornelissen for Axolight, it draws its character from the tension between two opposing forms: a semi-spherical blown glass diffuser and a circular disk of black painted aluminum, offset from center in a composition that feels both considered and spontaneous.
Light behaves in two registers here. An intense, focused glow emanates from the opaline white glass, which houses an integrated LED source. A secondary, diffuse luminescence filters through the back of the frame, casting a softer atmosphere into the surrounding space. The result is a lamp that reads differently depending on where you stand.
