Gople Floor Lamp

Gople Floor Lamp

The Gople Floor Lamp is a collaboration between Artemide and BIG, the Copenhagen-based architecture practice led by Bjarke Ingels. Its form draws from an unexpected source: research suggesting that plants grow toward certain wavelengths of light. That observation shaped a diffuser silhouette that is at once biological and architectural, soft and precise.

Each diffuser is hand-blown in Murano using glassmaking traditions that trace back centuries. No two are identical. The glass is available in white or in finishes achieved through Physical Vapor Deposition, a process that bonds thin metallic layers directly to the surface, producing blue, copper, bronze, and silver tones with a depth that paint cannot replicate.

  • Hand-blown Murano glass diffuser, unique per piece
  • PVD finishes in blue, copper, bronze, and silver
  • White glass option also available
  • Form informed by botanical light-response research
  • Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group for Artemide
