E020 Embrace Table
The E020 Embrace Table is a collaboration between Austrian design studio EOOS and the storied Danish workshop Carl Hansen & Søn. Its defining gesture is structural: a steel wire base cradles the tabletop from below, creating the impression of a surface suspended in air while maintaining quiet solidity underfoot.
EOOS approached the round form as a social instrument. The inward-drawn legs clear the perimeter of the table entirely, allowing chairs to pull close and conversation to flow without obstruction. At 79.5 cm in diameter, the proportions are calibrated for intimate gatherings rather than formal ceremony.
- Steel wire base in dialogue with a laminate top in black or white
- Base available in oak or walnut, with edges matched to the chosen wood
- Part of the broader Embrace series, designed for cohesion across seating and surface
Founded in Vienna in 1995, EOOS works at the intersection of anthropology and form, studying human ritual before committing to material. That philosophy is legible in the Embrace Table: every dimension serves the act of sitting together.
