The E015 Embrace began as a question about holding, about what it means for a chair to receive a body rather than simply support one. EOOS, the Vienna-based design studio known for its research into human gesture and physical intuition, answered with a form that curves inward at every edge, wrapping the sitter in a continuous, enveloping silhouette.
The frame is crafted from solid oak, finished here in black-painted wood that reads as precise and grounded against the softness of the upholstered shell. A slim edging strip traces the perimeter of the cushion, defining the boundary between structure and softness with quiet authority. The Loke leather upholstery brings warmth and depth, a material that will develop its own character over years of use.
