Ron Gilad approaches the mirror not as a surface but as a proposition. Designed for Cassina, the Deadline collection treats reflection as something contingent: dependent on where you stand, how light enters the room, and what hour of the day it is.
Each piece is constructed from two layers of glass working in concert with a reflective lacquer applied beneath. The result is a depth that resists easy reading. Color, form, and image shift with the viewer's movement, so the object is never quite the same twice. What reads as one composition from the left resolves into something entirely different from the right.
