Dan Chair With Armrests
Designed by Patrick Norguet in 2020, the Dan Chair with Armrests was recognized by the ADI Design Index 2021 for its radical approach to the seating form. Where most outdoor chairs rely on solid surfaces, Dan is built on absence, with its seat and backrest composed entirely of elastic polyester straps stretched across a precise steel armature.
The result is a chair that reads as both graphic object and functional seat. The varnished steel frame, available in iron grey or matt black, provides structural clarity. The straps, available in yellow, string, anthracite, and blue, introduce color as an active element of the design rather than an afterthought.
- Designed by Patrick Norguet, 2020
- ADI Design Index 2021 selection
- Varnished steel frame in iron grey or matt black
- Seat and backrest in polyester-thread elastic straps
- Strap colors: yellow, string, anthracite, blue
- Suited for residential terraces, gardens, and contract outdoor environments
Light in weight yet resolute in presence, Dan carries an energetic sensibility that holds its own in both intimate garden settings and large-scale public spaces.
