Crystal Rock Vase
Arik Levy conceived the Crystal Rock Vase as a meditation on the boundary between the geological and the crafted. Its form reads as something excavated rather than made, a fragment of mineral life frozen mid-formation.
Produced by Lasvit in the Czech Republic, the vase is hand blown, a process that allows the curvilinear interior to develop its own character while the exterior facets are cut with lapidary precision. The contrast between these two surfaces is where the object lives. Light enters through the flat planes, bends through the glass body, and emerges transformed, shifting throughout the day as the angle of the sun changes.
- Hand-blown Bohemian glass with precision-cut exterior facets
- Available in amber, blue, clear, red, and uranium colorways
- Designed by Arik Levy for Lasvit
- Made to order
Levy, an Israeli-born designer and artist based in Paris, works fluidly across industrial design, sculpture, and product design. His practice consistently returns to the tension between natural phenomena and manufactured form. The Crystal Rock Vase is among the clearest expressions of that sensibility.
