Moritz Wenz designed the Corkscrew as a kit, a deliberate choice that transforms a familiar object into something worth noticing. Assembly is part of the experience. The act of putting it together draws attention to each component: a precision spiral, stainless steel screws, and a handle turned from light or dark oak.
The materials are unpretentious by design. Oak and steel share a directness, a refusal of ornament, that gives the finished piece its quiet authority. Once assembled, the components lock into a form that sits well in the hand, balanced and light without sacrificing stability.
