Ceiba Coat Rack

Luis Arrivillaga conceived the Ceiba as an object that earns attention from every angle. Four ash wood elements pivot around a central axis, opening and closing to reconfigure the silhouette, so the piece reads differently depending on where you stand. Utility and sculptural presence are not in tension here. They are the same gesture.

The Milan-based Venezuelan designer drew on the logic of traditional woodworking, then realized those forms through CNC routing, a process that produces the smooth, precise curves where each element joins. The result carries a tactile warmth that belies its geometric rigor.
