Bubble Rock Sofa
Piero Lissoni conceived Bubble Rock not as a sofa in any conventional sense, but as a collection of soft, beveled islands. The forms drift apart or draw together, composing an archipelago of seating and support surfaces that adapts to its setting rather than dictating it.
Each element is asymmetrical by design. Armrests become backrests. Backrests become territorial boundaries. The system resists a fixed reading, inviting a different configuration with every arrangement. Large cushions introduce a controlled play on volume, and optional color contrasts allow the palette to shift with a room's character without announcing itself.
