Claesson Koivisto Rune drew from the kinetic grace of a spinning dancer to conceive the Ballerina Bowl for Skultuna. The convex base is the design's quiet gesture: set the bowl on a surface and it rests in composed stillness, but the lightest touch sets it into a gentle, swaying motion that betrays the precision underneath.
The polished brass interior is deliberately concave, creating a reflective distortion that reads as flat to the eye. The actual curvature of the form is revealed only through touch, or through the rocking movement itself. This play between appearance and reality gives the object a considered wit rare in functional wares.
Available in three sizes, the bowls hold anything from wrapped sweets and keys to small collected objects. Each is produced by Skultuna, the Swedish metalworks founded in 1607 under royal warrant, with an unbroken tradition of refined brass craft spanning four centuries.
