Anomaly Pouf
Front's Anomaly Pouf for Moroso occupies an uncertain, beguiling territory between furniture and living form. Conceived by the Stockholm-based design collective Front, the piece draws from their long fascination with the behavior and morphology of animals, translating organic gesture into a domestic object that resists easy categorization.
The body is built over a wood frame and injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam, then wrapped in vegetal-tanned leather left completely untreated and undyed. This "nude" leather carries no protective coating, allowing it to age visibly and personally, accumulating a patina that is entirely the owner's own. The pale, powdery tone of the hide reinforces the creature's ambiguity, somewhere between soft and strange.
- Designer: Front (Sweden)
- Manufacturer: Moroso (Italy)
- Construction: Wood frame with injected flame-retardant polyurethane foam
- Upholstery: Vegetal-tanned, untreated, undyed natural leather
- Made to order
