Gino Sarfatti conceived the 2097 in 1958 as a deliberate act of reduction. Where the traditional chandelier accumulated crystal, ornament, and ceremony, Sarfatti stripped the form to its core: a central body, radiating arms, and the bare bulb as both light source and visual subject.
The 2097/18 extends this logic across eighteen arms, each terminated with a clear bulb that broadcasts light in every direction without shade or diffuser. Nothing is hidden. The structure itself is the aesthetic statement.
