14p Portable Lamp
Bocci's 14 Series began in 2005 as an inquiry into the expressive possibilities of cast glass. Each sphere is formed from two hand-cast hemispheres, their equator deliberately imperfect, their surface alive with the natural variation that only a human hand and molten material can produce together.
The 14p carries that same language into a cordless form. Freed from any fixed position, the lamp becomes something closer to an object than a fixture. It moves with the occasion: a dining table set for the evening, a terrace at dusk, a shelf rearranged on impulse.
- Hand-cast glass hemispheres with natural surface variation
- Soft, candle-like diffusion
- USB-C charging
- Three brightness levels with press-and-hold dimming
- Designed by Omer Arbel
The quiet practicality of the 14p is exactly the kind that good design tends to conceal. Its portability is not a compromise of the form but a natural evolution of it.
